Designer Janine Hung has created "Jellyfish Lodges", a series of floating rooms that can purify polluted water, collect rubbish and grow food.
The solar-powered lodges gather rubbish from the water using long tentacles that avoid disturbing underwater wildlife.

The lodges also house an aquaponic garden to grow fruit and vegetables, and a filtration system to clean dirty water and return it when it is purified.
Local residents would be able to keep the food grown inside the lodges in return for maintenance.

The project received an honourable mention in Inhabitat’s 2016 Biodesign Competition.
