UK-headquartered Mace Consult has appointed Zoe Price, formerly chief executive of UK contractor ISG, which went into administration in September 2024, as its new managing director for Europe.

Former parent company Mace said Price brings more than 20 years of company leadership, including senior roles at UK contractors Willmott Dixon and Morgan Sindall.

It describes Mace Consult as a “pure-play programme delivery consultancy for major projects”.

In July, New York-headquartered investment bank Goldman Sachs acquired a controlling stake in Mace Consult, creating an independent company aiming to become the “world’s leading programme management consultant”.

In 2024, Mace Consult generated some $904m (£687m) of revenue and employed 5,200 staff in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East and Africa.

In September this year, Ireland’s grid operator, EirGrid, selected a joint venture of Mace Consult and AtkinsRéalis for a five-year framework for engineering design, planning and project management.

Meanwhile, Mace, in a joint venture with US firm Jacobs, has been programme management consultant for the Ellinikon urban development programme at the site of Athens’ disused Olympics complex and the abandoned Hellinikon airport since 2022 . It has been described as the “largest urban regeneration project in Europe”.

Of the latest appointment, Mace Consult chief executive Davendra Dabasia said: “Zoe has valuable operational and delivery expertise and is set to apply this knowledge and experience to drive positive outcomes for clients across all markets and service lines in our Europe hub.

“Her appointment is an early yet significant step as Mace Consult looks to an ambitious future as a stand-alone leading global delivery consultancy.”

Zoe Price said: “With a sharp focus on service excellence for our clients, Mace Consult has enjoyed double digit growth in recent years, and I look forward to working with our talented teams across Europe to expand our footprint and deliver programmes that benefit communities across the hub.”

Mace Consult employs around 3,000 people in Europe.

In the UK, it was recently appointed programme delivery partner for Anglian Water’s £11bn capital investment, and for the National Health Service’s New Hospital Programme.

Earlier this month, Rachael Saville joined Mace Consult from Arcadis as the Programme and Project Management service lead for Europe.
