France’s Spie wins M&E role on swanky Regent’s Crescent, London

The UK arm of Paris-headquartered engineer Spie Group has won a £20m mechanical and electrical contract in the luxury redevelopment of Regent’s Crescent in London, originally built by famed architect John Nash for the Prince Regent in 1820.

With properties in the development, numbering 72, fetching up to £18m, Spie said works had to be "completed to the highest standard".

The works are valued at over £20m and will be completed over an 86-week period, which began in June, Spie announced today.
The developer is Great Marlborough Estates, and the contractor is Midgard Ltd.

As well as 63 luxury apartments at the Regent’s Park address, starting at £3.95m, there will be 9 mews properties.

Spie UK is responsible for mechanical, electrical and public health infrastructure, including security, lighting control, combined heat and power.

Spie UK employs around 3,000 staff throughout the UK.

The parent group has more than 46,500 employees, with 2017 consolidated revenues of €6.1bn.
