“We will positively disrupt”: Arcadis launches new infrastructure tech company

Bringing together two acquisitions made in the last 24 months, Netherlands-headquartered design and engineering consultant Arcadis has launched a new digital business called Arcadis Gen.

Staffed with 200 people and led by former CH2M European boss, Rachel White, Arcadis Gen will sell data-driven solutions designed to improve the performance of infrastructure systems.

Arcadis acquired Sheffield-based software and analytics firm, SEAMS, in January 2018, and the UK-headquartered asset management company, EAMS Group, in March 2019.

"We’re doing something the industry hasn’t seen before," said Rachel White, "we’re launching a products and technology organization; bringing together some of Arcadis’s brightest digital minds in an environment for thinking differently."

Arcadis chief executive Peter Oosterveer said: "Arcadis Gen is a vital step in Arcadis’ digital transformation. Together, we will positively disrupt the industry and help our clients harness the power of data to transform their businesses and improve quality of life for their customers."
