The UAE has laid out plans for a project called "Foresight of the need for housing in the UAE during 2020-2040", which sets out plans to build 3,900 houses by 2040.
Announced by state news agency WAM, the project will identify the needs of each of the country’s seven emirates, costs and land allocation.
Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the UAE’s minister of infrastructure development, said work will involve both local and federal governments.
