Ukraine’s printed school in pictures

Polish humanitarian group T4UA leads the project with the support of Lviv City Council
This week GCR reported on Europe’s first 3D printed school taking shape in Lviv, western Ukraine.

Organisers say it could provide a blueprint for getting more than 5 million children back to school after Russia’s invasion so far has damaged 2,600 schools and completely destroyed more than 400.

Polish humanitarian group T4UA leads the project with the support of Lviv City Council and a number of companies, including Danish print-builder 3DCP Group and Ukrainian cement-maker Cemark.

T4UA has sent GCR a selection of photographs showing the project’s setting and progress.

The contractor, Danish print-builder 3DCP Group, erects the gantry to support the moving print-head as it deposits layers of cementitious material
The printer, made by Danish firm Cobod International, arrived on site two weeks ago
Ukrainian cement-maker Cemark is providing the materials
The schools walls rise layer by layer
T4UA says printing the 506.5-sq-m school will be finished soon
