French construction group Vinci is to build itself a head office in the department of Hauts-de-Seine on the western outskirts of Paris.
The 74,000 square metre complex will accommodate the 4,000 employees who work in the present headquarters, which is in the same department, as well as staff from Vinci Concessions, Vinci Energies, Vinci Construction and transport infrastructure arm Eurovia.
The Groues architectural project, which was designed by Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés and Marc Mimram, aims to become a "long-term integral part of its immediate urban environment".
The HQ will be made up of several buildings connected by walkways, forming an archipelago-like complex. Its interiors will offer employees modern, comfortable spaces that "foster collaborative work". Â
The plan also provides for a combination of residential and office space along with a broad range of shops, services and facilities.
Vinci has worked with teams from public developer Epadesa and French rail provider SNCF Réseau on the planning of the project.
The new HQ, which Vinci hopes will "form a new link between the City of Nanterre and La Défense business district", is due to be completed by 2020.
