Cimic subsidiary to transform Brisbane car park into mixed-use development

Cimic Group subsidiary Broad Construction is part of a joint venture that will build Brisbane’s Ferny Grove Central development for the Honeycombes Property Group.

Broad will work with real estate firm MaxCap Group to redevelop a former car park into a residential, commercial and retail hub.

The US$76m project will also contain park ‘n’ ride spaces, funded by the Queensland and Australian governments.

Juan Santamaria, Cimic Group’s chief executive, said: "Backed by CPB Contractors, Broad Construction is our specialist building company and is delivering a range of high-quality projects, across Queensland and Western Australia."

Jason Spears, CPB Contractors’ managing director, said: "The experience of our team means that we have the capability to provide safe and certain delivery to our clients. Broad’s inclusive procurement strategies will also provide opportunities for local workers and businesses."

Construction on the project issue to begin in June and be competed by August 2023.
