Skanska wins California road lowering contract

Swedish construction firm Skanska has signed a $96m contract with the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments to work as contractor on a road separation development in southern California.

The Fullerton Road Grade Separation Project in the City of Industry involves lowering Fullerton Road under the existing Union Pacific railroad tracks between Rowland Street and State Route 60.

Work also includes building a six-lane roadway underpass, four-track railroad bridge and a bridge for Railroad Street over Fullerton Road.

Work on the project is due to begin in September 2021 and be completed by the end of 2024.
