Turner Construction has topped out renovation work at the Michie Stadium, home ground for the Army Black Knights, the football team of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.

Turner is replacing the venue’s former east stands with new stands that give a 360-degree view taking in the playing field and the Hudson Valley landscape.

Turner construction executive Luigi Morfea said his team devised a logistics plan that has kept the stadium open for football and lacrosse during construction, with seating capacity reduced from 36,000 to 30,000.

“It’s a privilege to help preserve the legacy of this stadium while delivering modern amenities for future generations of fans,” he added.

The stadium has been home to the Army Black Knights for 101 years.

The new stands are due to be finished in time for the 2026 football season.
