French infrastructure company Egis has completed the acquisition of Dubai-based multidisciplinary consultancy WME for an undisclosed sum.
Announced in March 2022, the deal will increase Egis’ presence in the Middle East and further its goal of becoming a top-10 engineer by 2026.
WME was founded by project manager Peyman Mohajer in 2011. It has 550 staff across the Middle East, North Africa and India, and has also carried out work in the UK and Singapore.
Mohajer will lead the newly formed Building Engineering practice for Egis in the region, focusing on design and project delivery.
Laurent Germain, Egis’ chief executive, said: “Today is an exciting moment for us.
